Dealing with the pain

Pain caused by endometriosis can create many problems in every-day life.

Sufferers can experience back pain, pelvic pain (affecting sex) and pain when going to the toilet.

Some women only get pain at the time of their period (periodic pain), and others experience it at other times in their monthly cycle (non-periodic pain). Levels of pain vary from person to person.

Pain is generally caused by inflammation, something is red and sore but not on your skin, in your tummy. Blood can cause this inflammation and is given off by the endometrial implant.
